Students of the collection are among the winners of the XIX International scientific conference of students and postgraduates “YOUTH AND PROGRESS OF BIOLOGY”

On April 26-28, 2023, the XIX International Scientific Conference of students and post-graduate students “YOUTH AND PROGRESS IN BIOLOGY” was held on the basis of the Faculty of Biology of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Shelyag-Sosonka Yury Romanovych. Students of the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology Grad Maryana and Artur Rybchuk, who conduct research on the basis of the Collection of cultures of antibiotic-producing microorganisms, were awarded III degree diplomas for the best oral presentations. Their work concerned actinomycetes of the Pseudonocardiaceae family, which are promising producers of new biologically active compounds.
