Microorganisms

The open collection includes more than 3,000 specimens of living cultures of microorganisms representing 78 species and 59 genera. In particular:

  • Typical strains of actinomycetes and their derivatives with altered biosynthesis of secondary metabolites – (52 species, 7 genera)
  • Typical strains of conditionally pathogenic and phytopathogenic bacteria – (16 species, 11 genera)
  • Typical strains of molds and yeasts – (10 species, 7 genera)
  • Natural isolates from biotopes of Ukraine and Antarctica are actinomycetes (26 genera), myxobacteria and other predatory bacteria (8 genera).
