Today, more and more attention is paid to the isolation of actinomycete strains from previously unexplored biotopes, which significantly increases the probability of discovering new biologically active compounds. This work demonstrates the diversity and bioactive potential of 372 isolates of actinomycetes isolated from the rhizosphere soil of Juniperus excelsa M. Bieb. It was established that the studied actinomycete isolates belonged to 11 genera, among which it was possible to single out a representative of the very rare genus Actinorectispora. In addition, the bioactive potential of the isolates was evaluated based on their ability to produce antimicrobial metabolites active against gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria and yeast. The results of this work are published in the journal Folia Microbiologica.
